We are highly skilled, youthworkers, teachers
and trainers, with subject specialisms in outdoor education, and development training. All our times and activities are linked to the Calendar Icon
We are also highly qualified outdoor leaders. Our belief that qualification is not an end goal, but the right to start. Means we have great experience post qualification!
We explain our values below, our profiles are in 'our details' page on the left!
By putting students first.
By valuing the development of working relationships.
By being evidence based and transparent.
By actively contributing to wider industry development.
Teesoutdoors has developed a reputation for community support and excellence, we operate as an expert adventure partner, developing learners and leaders.
By contributing to regional outdoor learning, coaching and development we ensure the highest standards of currency, quality and safety in delivery.
We believe in providing the highest quality services delivered in a completely transparent way, we actively encourage anyone interested in our work to contact any of our governing bodies, to independently verify our standards of performance and safety management. All our accreditations provide direct links to the governing bodies.
In all our work with young people or adults, we use three competency indicators that underpin quality in working with young people, these are; technical qualification, academic knowledge and professional specialism. . None stand alone in the provision of adventure, they all need to be current and updated. Teesoutdoors delivers on all three.
We believe that the human factor is critical, it is the way we develop trust, empathy, understanding and build a relationship with others that makes or breaks any activity. this is why we insist on multi skilled tutors, we will always make sure that you get consistency and the opportunity to build an effective working relationship with the tutors
A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play,
his labour and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation.
He hardly knows which is which.
He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing.
To himself he always seems to be doing both. Enough for him that he does it well.
